The Directorate General of Assam Rifles, under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India, invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to the post of Rifleman / Riflewoman (General Duty) under the Sports Quota. Place of Posting:

Posting will be at Assam Rifles units across India, mainly in North Eastern states and border areas, as per organizational requirements.

Nature of Appointment:

Selected candidates will be appointed on a regular / permanent basis as per Assam Rifles rules.

Job Role & Responsibilities:

Guarding international borders and sensitive installations

Maintaining internal security and assisting in law & order duties

Preventing illegal infiltration and cross-border activities

Assisting civil administration during emergencies

Participating in disaster relief and rescue operations

Performing operational and field duties assigned by the unit

Representing Assam Rifles in sports events (Sports Quota candidates)

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:

18 to 23 years

Age relaxation applicable as per Government rules

Educational Qualification:

Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board

Sports Qualification:

Candidates must have represented:

International competitions, or

National championships, or

Inter-University tournaments, or

National School Games / Khelo India events

Selection Process:

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Motor Ability Test (MAT)

Sports Field Trials

Medical Examination
