Educational Qualification & Experience
Securities Market Operations (SMO):
Qualification:Post Graduate Diploma / Degree in Management (Finance) with minimum marks (as per notification)
OR Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost Management Accountant (CMA)
OR Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Experience: At least 1 year relevant work experience in financial/market operations.
Information Technology (IT):
Qualification:BE / B.Tech in Electronics / ECE / IT / CS
OR MCA / MSc (IT / CS) / MBA (Systems / Analytics)
OR M.Tech (IT/Computer Science)
OR equivalent qualification.
Experience: Minimum 1 year in software development (programming) or cybersecurity.
Law:
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized University / Institute.
Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in corporate / securities law.
Research:
Qualification: Post Graduation in Economics / Commerce / Finance / Statistics or related field.
Experience: Minimum 1 year relevant experience (PhD may be preferred).
Rajbasha:
Qualification: Master’s in Hindi / English / Translation (with Hindi/English subjects).
Experience: At least 1 year in relevant Rajbasha / translation work.
Candidates are expected to have a reasonable understanding of financial markets, analytical ability, communication skills, research aptitude, and IT skills. (Securities and Exchange Board of India)
Age Limit:
Maximum 30 years as on date of notification (no relaxation specified).
(Candidates must be Indian citizens).
Monthly Remuneration:
₹70,000/- per month (All Inclusive) – fixed consolidated stipend.
Job Location:
SEBI Head Office, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Duration of Engagement:
Initial engagement: 1 year
Extension: May be extended by competent authority by up to 2 additional years based on performance and organizational requirement.
Maximum duration: 3 years.
Selection Process:
Three-Stage Process
Application Screening: Shortlisting based on academics, institute ranking (e.g., NIRF), experience, performance, Statement of Purpose (SOP) and profile relevance.
Preliminary Interview: Virtual online interview for shortlisted candidates.
Final Interview: Virtual interview (details shared via email).
(No written exam is conducted).

Candidates are responsible for their own travel & interview costs.
Leaves & Allowances (As per reports):
Annual Leave: 18 days per year (1.5 days per month).
Official Travel: Conveyance and halting allowances as per Grade A norms for official travel only.
Accommodation: Unfurnished shared accommodation in Mumbai may be provided subject to availability.
